Day Trips

When staying in Awendaw or McClellanville, there are multiple locations that make for great day trips. From Charleston to Myrtle Beach, there’s something for everyone.

For what to see and do in Charleston, check out the Charleston Visitor’s Bureau website. Charleston is known for its amazing food, and any local could easily rattle off ten phenomenal places to eat. No matter where you choose to dine, it’s hard to go wrong downtown. A few favorites include Halls Chophouse (if you want to go upscale), Pearlz Eclectic Little Oyster Bar (if you want great seafood in a laid back atmosphere), and to top it off, dessert at Kaminsky’s, consistently voted Best Dessert in Charleston.

Some not-to-be-missed attractions in Charleston include the SC Aquarium and the Charleston Museum.
