Avian Conservation Center For Birds of Prey
The 152-acre campus of the Center for Birds of Prey is dedicated to the study and welfare of birds and their habitats and to engaging the public in important environmental issues that affect birds and humans alike. Along with a medical clinic that treats more than 500 injured birds of prey each year, the facility also has an Oiled Bird Treatment Center and offers on-site outreach educational programs to students and adults. Open to the public with daily flight and educational demonstrations.

Coastal Expeditions
Coastal Expeditions can take you to into the heart of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge to Bulls Island aboard their Ferry boat. Overnight excursions and occasional trips into the National Forest are also offered, as well as tours of the Bulls Island Lighthouse.

DU got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows. Hampton Plantation
The colonial-era rice plantation is now open to the public as a State Historic Site that showcases the plantation’s Georgian-style mansion and well-kept grounds. Here you can participate in mansion tours, fish in Hampton Creek, bird-watch, or hike the two-mile interpretive trail that circles an abandoned rice field. Nature Adventures Outfitters
Offering an “Outdoor Adventure Center” that provides kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, hiking, birding, fishing and eco-boat tour adventures, as well as camping and cabin rentals in the Bulls Bay Chamber area. Nature Adventures is the area’s oldest guide service and is the only local outfitter based in the Bulls Bay Chamber area! Our 77 Acre Facility offers a variety of adventures for the entire family! As a permitted Tour outfitter, we offer guided services in the Francis Marion National Forest and Bulls Bay Area. Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals are also offered in the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge and on our very own lake at the center. Adventures include sea and recreational kayaking and canoeing to barrier islands, blackwater swamps, and rivers within the Bulls Bay area and overnight Expeditions! Equipment rentals included Fishing Kayaks, Sea Kayaks, Recreational Kayaks, Canoes and we also provide naturalist guided Kayak Fishing tours! Other tours include hiking and professional guided birding and wild life tours. Guides are University degreed, Master Naturalists, and certified ACA kayak instructors and trip leaders.
